How to deal with bullying?

1. Don’t respond. Bullies are often looking for a reaction, so the best way to deal with it is to not react.

2. Tell an adult. If the bullying is serious, or if it continues, it’s important to tell an adult. This could be a teacher, a parent, or another responsible adult.

3. Build your confidence. Bullying can erode your confidence and self-esteem, so it’s important to build up your resilience and self-confidence. Take up an activity or hobby that you enjoy and that makes you feel good about yourself.

4. Reach out for help. If you’re struggling to cope with the effects of bullying, don’t hesitate to reach out for help. Consider talking to a trusted adult, a school counsellor, or a helpline such as Kids Help Phone.
